Who Made Your Clothes? | Meet Buda

Meet Nengah Buda! Buda is the main fabric cutter at our factory in Bali! Here you see him filing through all of the patterns behind our garments. When he came to work with us he had no experience at all but through our skill training program, he became our #1 fabric cutter. He is now able to provide for his family and uses his skills as a freelancer for additional income. We are so grateful for him!

When did you begin working for BEL KAZAN?

I began working for BEL KAZAN in 2012; 6 years ago! Although I started in the textile industry in 2010. I learned to sew 5 years ago! The cutting process is my favorite.

Where did you grow up?

I am from the Karangasem Regency, which covers the east part of Bali and has a population of over 300,000 people.

What was your childhood like?

My childhood was ordinary and simple - family means everything to me.

How would you describe yourself?

I am proud to say I am successful, happy, and prosperous because of such a simple upbringing. I am grateful for what I have and have no desire for more.
