Plant Dyed & Kind

A man stands on a ladder while holding a blade and looks up into tree canopy.

Good for the Planet

The textile industry is the top polluter of the Earth’s freshwater. Some of the main pollutants are chemicals used in industrial dyeing. These chemicals damage our aquatic systems and contaminate drinking water in ways that are highly difficult to reverse.

With our newest collection, we have started using dyes derived from plants in an effort to be more sustainable. Currently we utilize mango leaves, ketupat leaves, indigo leaves and coconut husk to create vibrant hues. Through utilizing plant dyes, BEL KAZAN and our customers are helping to reduce the amount of irreversible damage done to our aquatic systems.

Good for You

Not only are plant dyes better for the planet, but they’re better for you! Plant dyed garments are easier on the skin and provide you with a one of a kind garment due to natural color variations.
